Sandvik has long been a pioneer in the field of developing digital customer-focused solutions for hydraulic hammers. Major milestone was achieved in September 2020 as there are now over 3,000 hammers equipped with Rammer RD3 monitoring device sending data to MyFleet platform. In the specific case of Portugal we can say that more than 110 hammers are connected from the 155E model of 90 Kg to the 4099E model of 3400Kg.

Rammer RD3 for improved fleet management
The RD3 monitoring device comes as a standard feature on all Rammer Excellence Line hammers and is also available for Rammer Performance Line hammers from model R16P upwards. For upgrading earlier made models, there is a retrofit kit and customers have indicated huge interest to retrofit RD3 device to their existing hammers to get benefits from MyFleet.
The device collects data about location, operating hours and other beneficial information for better productivity and safety. With 24/7/365 access to MyFleet platform and the data collected customers can improve their fleet management, plan preventative maintenance and overall make processes more efficient and profitable.
The RD3 device together with the MyFleet is the key solution for the construction industry and in equipment rental business. In addition, its features improve total utilization of equipment, and offer particular benefit in applications where the hammer is part of the process such as quarrying, mining or tunneling, and where the unscheduled downtime cannot be tolerated.
