The chassis results from a set of ingenious ideas, presenting several solutions that allow the MERLO range to offer unique features in the market. As an example, all the multi-loaders have a 70mm thick steel wheel ring on the base of the chassis to lower the load center, eliminating the need for counterweight, as well as protecting sensitive components such as headlights and hoods.

The S version of the multi-loaders makes their operation easier and more efficient, through various features, such as the chassis levelling, which allows it to operate in various types of terrain, as well as the hydropneumatic suspension, for greater comfort when traveling. It also has a more powerful engine, increasing productivity, since heavier functions are performed with less effort. In addition, the maximum speed becomes 40 km/h.
