Rotating Telescopic Handler: ROTO 70.28 S PLUS CVTRONIC
Chassis
The chassis results from a set of ingenious ideas, presenting several solutions that allow the MERLO range to offer unique features in the market. As an example, all the multi-loaders have a 70mm thick steel wheel ring on the base of the chassis to lower the load center, eliminating the need for counterweight, as well as protecting sensitive components such as headlights and hoods.
Hydrostatic Transmission
MERLO traditionally has extensive experience in equipment with hydrostatic transmission, which allows great fuel economy, always-available binary and unparalleled sensitivity and precision.
S PLUS Version
This version allows the tower to have a continuous rotation, improving and facilitating the operation of the machine. It also offers a chassis levelling. The engine is more powerful and has a faster travel speed. The hydraulic system provides a higher flow due to the existence of two pumps. The cabin is tilting, for better operation and visibility over the end of the boom.
Top Version
These models have a CVTronic transmission, which allows smooth acceleration to 40 km/h and without any interruption in torque. At low RPM, the two hydrostatic engines work together to provide maximum torque, with a 12% increase, compared to conventional hydrostatic transmissions. The hydraulic system allows the operator to perform up to 3 movements of the boom simultaneously, due to the existence of a valve that distributes the hydraulic flow. The chassis levelling and the lateral movement of the boom avoid unnecessary repositioning of the machine, increasing productivity and reducing the time lost in handling. Operating the machine is easy and simple, as all controls are ergonomic and operator-oriented. The cab has suspension, making its operation comfortable on any terrain.
